Room 3 have been looking at Isaac Newton's Three Laws of Motion. During our investigations, we have discovered that air resistance opposes motion. This means it makes things that are moving stop or slow down. We created parachutes to take advantage of this, aiming for them to catch as much air as possible in order to descend as slowly as possible. It was quite an adventure!
I learnt that the more weight the faster it will float down
ReplyDeleteI liked it because I learnt a new thing our two about the forces and mass
ReplyDeletethe parachutes were easy but also fearly hard we had to have the right equipment but it was a creative thing to do
ReplyDeleteIt was super fun and I learned that the bigger the parachute the slower it goes :)
ReplyDeleteIt was a bit hard but they were fun to make. I think it was a well related activity to do for inquiry.
ReplyDeleteit is really really hard to master it
ReplyDeletethis is really hard to master well done to the winners with the 2 bag parachute
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed doing the parachutes and overall my team came 3rd!!!

ReplyDeletei learnt alot on the parachutes it was alot of fun
ReplyDeleteit was cool my group came first and we cort more air
ReplyDeletethis activity was fun creative yet very tricky awes post Mrs C
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome and fun to fly them.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that if you have a bigger or more parashoots it works better
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome and fun to fly them.
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome and fun to fly them.
ReplyDeleteyou missed how we need to use decent so it takes longer to hit the ground
ReplyDeleteit was fun to fly them
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed making the Parachutes as part of my Inquiry...
ReplyDeleteI have learnt about how if you have to much weight on the parachute it falls straight down but you also need some weight for stabilization so it doesn't flop around and the surface area needs to be big to catch air so it floats longer. =)
ReplyDeleteI liked to make the parachutes, the best highlight was when me and Jarden dropped it.
ReplyDeleteThe one with the biggest area has the slowest decent
ReplyDeleteI also learnt heaps about air resistance and they actually depended on the wind the surface of the parachute and how the parachute was made it was fun doing the parachutes. =)
ReplyDeleteIt was really fun and I learnt heaps from that project. Thanks Mrs Corrigan for doing it with us.
