Welcome Back - Fire Alarms

Welcome back to Room 3 for what is shaping up to be a very exciting Term 2!

The term got off to a buzzing start - with the fire alarm going off first thing Monday morning, before the first bell had even gone. A big thank you to all the Room 3 students and parents who showed amazing leadership and initiative upon hearing the alarm. It was great to see so many of you going and helping the younger students, taking them out to the back field, and helping them find their class and teacher.

A reminder to all - If you hear the school alarm ringing continuously, this is a fire alarm. It is not a drill, and needs to be treated seriously. Our meeting point when at school is out on our back field, which is where all classrooms will assemble. When the alarm is ringing continuously you do not go into classrooms, or go looking for anyone. Teachers will clear their allocated areas and assemble students on the back field.

Please - if you are on the school grounds at any time (no matter if you are a student, parent, grandparent, whanau member, community member or any other visitor) and you hear the fire alarm ringing continuously go calmly and sensibly to the back field. Once on the back field line up in your classes and wait patiently for the class roll call.

Thank you so very much for your support and assistance with this.
